Pecha Kucha Project for Sustainability Leadership:
Pecha Kucha projects are short presentations designed to be between 10-20 pages long with the presenter spending no more than 20 seconds per slide. For sustainability leadership, I designed a Pecha Kucha presentation discussing my future plans to incorporate sustainability into all aspects of my life. Indoor Agriculture Senior Design Presentation:
My groups project was to design an indoor agriculture facility growing medical grade Cannabis Sativa using sustainable operating methods. While most of the design was done as a collaborative effort, my area of greatest focus was in the lighting design, utility usage, and total economic evaluation present and future. Drip Irrigation Research Presentation:
My soil and wastewater management group was assigned to research and discuss an irrigation practice that is both sustainable and helps to prevent erosion. While most of the presentation was a collaborative effort, my area of greatest focus was on the pipe construction and design of the system itself. Click on the photo to see the presentation in full.
Pipe Heat Exchanger Presentation:
My heat and mass transfer group was assigned to research, discuss, and create an experiment that would
demonstrate how heat is transferred from one medium to another. My group performed three trial experiments involving a pipe with room temperature water passing through a tank of heated water and analyzing the change in inflow and effluent flow temperatures.
